Presenting the San Augustin class heavy frigate

Named after my friend Carolina de San Augustin from Mexico. She said she wanted a tough little ship that was fast and hard to hit. I though why not a frigate and voila- here she is.

Bombers going home

The bombers boys are headed home, with one limping along. This has got to be one of the most ambitious and aggravating images that I have ever done. Those fraking contrails were nearly the end of my patience and my wits! Doing the engine fire effects were easy compared to those accursed contrails.

Bach Festival Postcard

Some completed professional artwork for the North Carolina Bach Festival. Not as fun or has cool as the other stuff but work like this is the primary sort of thing we digital artists do around here. Not as fun as making things go boom but just as important.

A new project I am working on, combining many different elements and effects in Photoshop. A group of RAF Halifax heavy bombers are headed home after a mission, although one crew may not make it. Swallows in the Clouds

The ME-262, the first jet to see active combat over the contested skies of Europe in the closing days of WW2. The British Meteor jet was the second to see combat but the Schwalbe (Swallow) was a deeply disturbing shock to Allied aircrew when it first appeared over Europe, defending German airspace in hopeless yet spirited actions.
